Job Description

• As a Sr QA automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and implementation of automated testing solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the enhancement of our software quality by identifying issues early in the development cycle and helping to ensure a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our testing processes and maintain high-quality standards.
• Understand software requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools to support testing efforts.
• Execute and analyze test cases to identify and report defects and track their resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, providing insights into testability, code quality, and potential improvements.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Work closely with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and resolve testing challenges.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.
• Provide valuable input into the overall software development lifecycle to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications - Required

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• +5Y experience as a Software Developer in Testing or similar role.
• +5Y experience in mobile apps testing
• Proficiency in programming languages such as java, javascript
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Sauce labs integration, Appium, etc.)
• Design Patterns: Strong knowledge of design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM), Screenplay.
• Handling Waits: Proficiency in managing various types of waits (implicit, explicit, fluent waits) in automated test cases to ensure stability and reliability of tests.
• Hands-on experience with Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Should be able to analyze and propose improvements to current processes, best practices and solutions.
• Backend: Knowledge of API testing using Serenity BDD and restAssured as part of the technology stack

Qualifications - Desired

• Intermediate or advanced English language proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data in databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle in Agile environments.
• Previous experience in the tourism industry is an advantage but not required.
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues with lower seniority
• Knowledge of performance testing is a plus.
