The Role:

The EAJP Industrialization Director will secure the development and launch of industrial solutions for new offers, within EAJP region, for the Industrial Automation Business Unit.


As such, he/she is responsible for :

  • Building the expertise and the skills required for the development of manufacturing processes in the scope of the Offer Creation Process.
  • Deciding and executing industrial choices to be applied to all new offers introduced to the market (Offer Creation Process)
  • Managing an international team of engineers and experts covering various domains such as : part industrialization, assembly processes, automation, testing of finish goods and PCBA, industrial project management.
  • Act as the SPOC to liaise with HMI Line of Business

The incumbent will contribute and support the industrial strategy execution:

  • Support on manufacturing footprint optimization (where & how to produce?)
  • Ensure all industrial choices will be delivering the lowest Co2 impact, the best quality & reliability and the most optimum profitability (Capex/ Opex/ Cost of products).
  • Guaranty that all technical choices remain compliant with internal processes & guidelines, incl. SPS (Schneider Performance System)

What will you do?
  • Manages the specific expertise domains under his/her responsibility (electronics, parts, assembly/processes, automation, testing) and soft skills related (digital, teamwork,)
  • Guarantees the performances of his/her team and monitor the industrialization effectiveness, introducing new technologies or innovations (IoT, Co-Bot, etc.); ensure his/her team designs processes fitting with SPS, Smart factory, EcoStruxure and connectivity principles
  • Liaise with other functions within the project, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality mainly to find the best optimized & sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure, with R&D, that Design For manufacturing & Design for Reliability are systematically considered for all offers while transitioning towards agile methodologies. Delivers the "mandatory requirements" as per processes and guidelines
  • Foster collaboration between LoB (Line of Biz) Functions, Global Supply Chain, Regions for the new offer’s development & industrializing.
  • Settle the best processes / tools / competencies to ensure a Product-Process design for manufacturability, sustainable, reliable + robust quality, optimized costs (Capex, Opex, Parts, Supply Chain),.
  • Collaborate with Plants (manufacturing sites or external partners), ensure the skills/organization/ are suited for the new offers launch, work on ramp-up, training, support of Plant Resources up to the "final handshake for transfer"; deliver appropriate documents (training, operations, maintenance, . .) and provides any support when operations are running upon requests
  • Develops his/her team according to the competency strategy linked to technologies and innovations. People development includes technical skills, soft skills and personal development skills.
  • Promote innovation within the team & with other stakeholders / functions.

Qualifications: What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Engineering degree ideally completed with a business education (e.g Masters Degree)
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, Product development is required
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and industrial strategy is mandatory in similar domains (automotive, electrical industries, etc.)
  • Management : comfortable with Matrix, multicultural & Functional management, experience of direct management of large and remote/international teams is mandatory.
  • Required : Electronic knowledge, Automation expertise
  • Strong leadership skills to empower and drive high performing culture
  • Collaborative, comfortable in multifunctional reporting
  • Experienced in managing cross-cultural teams across Asia region
