How will you make an impact?
This position is a part of the Bioprocess equipment and Automation business unit within the Single Use Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Theeal canate can be remote with the ability to travel to sites, visit customers, and collaborate with R&D, Commercial, and other functional teams.
We are looking for a dynamic Sr. Product Manager to join our Bioprocess equipment and Automation team in the US. This is an excellent opportunity for the right canate to join a market-leadingpany that is fast-paced, dedicated, and passionate about making a difference.
As a Global Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for current and future portfolio for downstream bioprocessing including emerging modalities. This position will lead global product strategies, drive innovative solutions to customer challenges, lead operations for top-line growth and profitability, and proe market leadership.
What will you do?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and implement long-term (3+ years) product line strategies, business plans, and product roadmaps.
- Collaborate with external and internal partners to develop application-based solutions
- Champion successful launches through requirements, development, andmercialization.
- Lead the ultimate customer and financial success of new product introductions (NPIs)
- Understand and supervise market environment including strengths, weaknesses, and productpetition. Analyze, interpret, and report out regularly to management regarding sales forecasts, product supply andpetition
- Responsible for revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives.
- Serve as product champion with internal collaborators, regional teams, and directly with customers including key accounts.
- Maintain close relationships with field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, participating with pricing tactics, and customer support
- Foster new product directions: work across functions to develop business opportunities for revenue growth (organic and inorganic) and cost reduction, while using the voice of customer research.
- Partner closely withmercial organizations to support price and supply agreement negotiations.
- Develop and lead strategic collaborations for product partnerships. Lead cross-functional teams with R&D, operations,mercial groups and external partners to implement programs.
How will you get here?
Education
- BS degree in Life Sciences is required
- MS degree or an advanced degree like a Ph.D./MBA is highly desirable.
Experience
- 7+ years of product management, or related business experience within the life sciences industry
- Prior experience in a Global Product Management role driving overall portfolio strategy and leading new product development programs and launches
- Knowledge of the cell culture and cell therapy market is highly desirable
- Prior experience with product life-cycle management including portfolio planning, product rationalization, gathering the Voice of Customer, Market Research, Market Strategy, Value-Based Pricing is a requirement
- Experience in developing and implementing Long-Range Roadmap (3-5 years) that includes development/optimization and launching instrument platforms
- Ability to think critically to ovee potential business hurdles toplete tasks
- Ability to build organizational relationships to effectively motivate project teams and resolve issues
- Strongmunication skills with the ability to effectively present to all levels of an organization internally and externally
- Ability to think strategically by using insights & data to build a vision on long-term plan
- Outstanding attention to detail and strong process consistency
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Confirmed ability to influence and lead convincingly, driving cross-functional teams to succeed in challenging and ambiguous situations. Experienced working in a matrixed organization.
