THE JOB:

As a Box Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for show information and maintaining the ticketing system. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Manager in building, maintaining, and seeing through to fruition all shows or events inventory
• Provide knowledgeable answers to guest questions; provide detailed information regarding the property amenities and local area
• Maintain internal and external show information and outside property sales in the ticketing system; update information on all tours, shows and other event sales
• Develop new and analyze existing procedures and special promotions that will improve guest patronage and show sales
• Assist with financial aspects of the department & settlement reports
• Generate daily reports on all events for senior leadership, management, and promoters
• Maintain a strong working relationship with other departments within MGM as well as with promoter partners
• Supervise Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s), create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment
• Develop and mentor hourly employees to ensure departmental standards and goals are understood and met
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management; notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Basic knowledge of Ticketmaster, including: Archtics, TMOne and Host
• Describes themselves as detail-oriented
• Is experienced in leading individuals
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time
• Has experience in Box Office/ticketing, events, live entertainment in a casino setting
