The St. Maries Complex is looking for a Carpenter who will work under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent. The Carpenters at the Lumber and Plywood facilities maintain and repair all plant facilities and construct items that are beneficial to the functional operation of both mills.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $28.69 – $33.82.

Essential Job Functions:

• Repairs all structures including buildings, offices, storage, etc. within the complex.
• Builds and repairs structures/parts using a combination of metal and/or wood materials.
• Manufactures and fabricates items.
• Designs/draws plans for building and construction projects.
• Paints various facility structures.
• Estimates and orders all necessary materials.
• Builds concrete pads, foundations, etc.
• Builds catwalks and metal stairs.
• Builds cabinets, lockers, desks, etc.
• Operates equipment including man-lift, Bobcat, and Forklift as needed.

• A minimum of three years of carpentry experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required – experience with preventative maintenance software preferred.
• Job will require physical activity such as lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs. cannot have any lifting restrictions on file.
• Must be able to work from heights.
• Must be able to operate construction tools i.e. electric saws, handheld tools, jackhammers, concrete saws.
• Carpentry school preferred.
• Able to operate forklift, man-lift and skid steer as needed.
