Job Description – Farm Co-op Logistics Manager

Farm Co-op Logistics Manager

This position is responsible for coordinating amount the Co-op’s local food producers, distributors, and buyers to ensure orders are delivered at the peak of quality and support food safety standards / requirements for the Co-op. Responsibilities include:

Manage Product Aggregation and Distribution:

  • Manage Co-op drivers and warehouse staff
  • Compile and disseminate weekly Producer Availability Lists to buyers
  • Schedule and ensure product pick-up and order delivery
  • Dispatch truck drivers
  • Manage customer orders
  • With drivers and warehouse staff prepare customer orders by receiving, ensuring quality and staging orders for distribution
  • Ensure vehicles are operating safely and are kept clean – work with Manager to address any issues as they come up

Food Safety / Warehouse:

  • Manage product storage
  • Maintain efficiency, cleanliness and safety, including food safety requirements of warehouse / aggregation space

General:

  • Print and disseminate vendor checks weekly as directed by the Co-op’s bookkeeper,

Treasurer, and Manager

  • Make bank deposit of customer payments per SPC procedures
  • Reconcile Farm Bag program expenses weekly and monthly

Salary Range: $40,000 – $44,000 annually DOE

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience managing and developing a small mission-driven business
  • 3 years’ experience in developing and implementing broad food system strategies
  • Preference will be given to persons familiar with local, sustainable farming production and distribution processes and cooperative business models.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $44,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Litchfield Park, AZ 85340: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Management: 3 years (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Litchfield Park, AZ 85340
