Pay Grade 10: $26.43 – $33.78
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the coordination of human resource functions on Lasata Campus. Leads the recruitment and retention of all campus employees and coordinates administration and safety education and policies and procedures for new hire orientation. Coordination of FMLA applications, unemployment, workers’ compensation, and personnel change notifications. Participates in development of new programs and initiatives including recruitment, retention and employee mentor programs.
Description of the Job:
80% Coordinates Human Resource functions for entire Campus including leading the recruitment efforts of new employees for the campus, tracking Bonuses, Worker’s Comp, Unemployment, and FMLA. Coordinates new employee orientation for Care Center staff. Assists County HR department in distributing and administering insurance plans and employee benefits appropriately; acts as a liaison between Ozaukee County HR and Lasata Campus employees providing support and expediting any problems encountered by employees in receiving benefits under the available programs. Ensures compliance with federal and state employment and benefit laws and regulations.
Performs personnel related activities; screen and process applicants for hire following established county guidelines; prepares paperwork for new hires, transfers, promotions, disciplines, terminations, and insurance changes.
10% Coordinates IT department repairs and maintenance for the facility; troubleshoots use problems, trains new users on varied applications; Distributes and records employee evaluations; Oversees and coordinates Human Resources records for compensation, step increases, scheduled hours, payroll distribution, benefit election, confidential records. Coordinates new hire and routine background checks for employees. Tracks nursing department attendance and provides data to department supervisor for discipline. Logs employee discipline. Responsible for advertising and open job postings.
5% Coordinate CPR certifications for nursing staff. Develops forms and templates for all departments as needed. Participates in the employee Recruitment and retention committee on campus. Participates in the Employee Wellness Committee. Orders office supplies.

Associates Degree is required
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Experience Requirements:
Three to five years of experience including knowledge of human resource related functions, laws and regulations and employee benefit programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of human resources in all areas including benefits, compensation, employee development, FMLA, recruitment and retention, and workers compensation.
Interpersonal skills to effectively interpret, communicate and apply human resource programs, policies and procedures
Organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong work ethic and ability to clearly and effectively communication with multiple departments.
Ability to maintain confidentiality as an absolute requirement.
Ability to work under pressure, with and without supervision.
Ability to maintain human resources records, etc.
