Position Description
The
School of Music at Texas State University seeks an engaging, creative, collaborative, and dedicated teacher/scholar to serve as a non-tenure-track Lecturer of Voice.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate applied voice lessons.
- Prepare student degree recitals.
- Professional activity in the fields of vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy is expected.
- Provide service to the School of Music, including recruitment.
- Specific duties assigned by the Director of the School of Music.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in vocal performance or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Documented ability and success in training voices of all types and developmental levels at the collegiate level.
- A record of achievement in vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy publication.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tenor, bass-baritone, or bass voice types preferred, but all voice types considered.
