We are looking for an Office Assistant to join our team! We offer our Co-workers 401K, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, generous dining discount and daily co-worker meal and tuition reimbursement!Reporting to the Office Manager, the Office Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and bookkeeping duties to support the management team and provide information and reports to the corporate office. This includes, but is not limited to, generating the daily sales report, submitting weekly purchases for the Activity Report, verifying the daily deposit, cash controls, assuring daily transfer of time clock information into computer, reviewing and processing invoices, and maintaining personnel files and human resources functions.The successful candidate will also be responsible for answering phones, performing some front-of-house hosting, providing support for our private party bookings and maintaining the office files and supplies in a neat and orderly manner to assure an effective and efficient office.Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in areas of onboarding of newly hired co-workers including processing E-verify, collecting and ensuring new hire paperwork is completed
  • Oversee Lawry’s pre-employment and random drug testing program
  • Assist employees with questions relating to benefits and payroll
  • Enter new hire information into UKGPro (HRIS) and maintain all employee records
  • Complete bi-weekly payroll
  • Create, organize and maintain restaurant files and forms ensuring they are up to date
  • Order and maintain office supplies including all Lawry’s Restaurants forms (employee handbooks, drug tests, safety reports)
  • Maintain communication with managers and vendors relating to invoice controls and daily deliveries, building and maintenance matters, W9s and certificates of liability insurance
  • Assist management with all verbal and written communications including distribution of correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Answer phones and respond to emails promptly and courteously, providing assistance and routing callers or emails to respective departments
  • Provide assistance to all employees, vendors and guests with guest service excellence
  • Reconcile weekend paperwork and reports
  • Responsible for bookkeeping duties including Accounts Payable, credits due, daily invoices and weekly/monthly inventories
  • Communicate with corporate accounting, payroll and human resources. Respond to requests from the Corporate Office
  • Provide accounting assistance to managers
  • Prepare reports as needed
  • Support the General Manager and Restaurant Managers, with maintenance of all required restaurant business licenses, certifications and permits.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion


  • A minimum of 1 years of administrative experience, restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask competing priorities and deadlines
  • Time management, attention to detail, problem solving and organization skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with clients and all types of team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to hospitality and service excellence
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of MS Office, HRIS, Point of Sales systems (Micros), HotSchedules, and telephone systems
  • OpenTable proficiency is a plus

Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of MS Office, Point of Sales systems (Micros), scheduling software (Opentable) and any department-specific systems in use.


  • HS Diploma, some college preferred

Salary Range: $20/hr-$21/hr

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
