Senior Accountant

Department: Accounting

FLSA/Classification: Exempt/Salaried

Salary Range: $70,000 – $73,000/ DOE

Location: Wesley Willows

Summary:

Responsible for assisting the CFO in directing the organization’s accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and input journal entries.
• Reconciliation of accounts.
• Generate timely, accurate, and useful reporting and analysis.
• Reviews bi-weekly payroll.
• Reviews weekly accounts payable register.
• Assists CFO in preparing the annual budget.
• Prepare audit schedules for annual audits.
• Performs all other assignments as directed by the CFO.

Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:

• Good interpersonal relations with proven communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Completed college degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a long-term care or healthcare environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other financial software.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for 6-7 hours during an 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 1-2 hours during an 8 hours shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 10 to 25 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees.
• Must be able to use wrists, fingers, and hands for operating a computer, utilizing a telephone, writing, and grasping.

Other regulated requirements:

• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening
• Must be willing to undergo biometric screening
