As a Sr. Accounts Payable Clerk with E. & J. Gallo Winery, you will be responsible for performing moderately difficult accounting transactions in order to process payables and provide general accounting support.

What You Will Do

• Investigates, resolves and processes payment for difficult and complex problems within accounts payable function

• Plays active role in category team with Purchasing and Finance to promote vendor relations as well as accurate general ledger account coding

• Provides excellent customer service to internal as well as external customers.

• Reviews, researches and resolves past due statements and old invoices with a sense of urgency and tenacity

What You Need

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

• Bachelor’s degree; or Associate’s degree plus 1 year of Accounts Payable experience; or 3 years Accounts Payable experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility

• Required to pass a Credit Check

• Computer skill requirements include: basic MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.

• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

• 5 years Accounts Payable experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility

• Experience with SAP Ariba.

• 10-key by touch

Compensation:

• Hiring Salary Range Posted: $19.30- $28.94

• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
