Job Responsibilities

The Auditor will:

  • Consistently demonstrate WEX Values

  • Determine the objectives, evaluation, criteria, and scope of an audit engagement, including the selection of audit procedures and test steps.

  • Prepare an engagement work program, including the initial timeline and budget, and assess throughout to raise potential overruns and or delays.

  • Document supporting evidence, including the source of populations, sample selections, etc. in accordance with IPPF standards and IA work paper documentation requirements.

  • Discuss results of work with Audit Management, including deficiencies found and recommended corrective actions.

  • Evaluate the relevance, sufficiency, and reliability of potential sources of evidence.

  • Apply appropriate analytical methods, approaches, and process mapping techniques.

  • Summarize and develop engagement conclusions and formulate recommendations to enhance and protect organizational value.

  • Prepare interim report, prepare final audit report, seek approval, and distribute to appropriate parties.

  • Manage monitoring and follow-up of the disposition of audit engagement results to Management.

  • Identify opportunities with Corporate Audit Management to progress the Risk Based audit project activities, including opportunities for control automation, risk identification and control design, tools and systems used to manage and record testing results, etc.

Minimum KSA’s

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Computer Science, or related field

  • Licence/Certification: Progress toward CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, or an active candidate

  • Experience: 2-5 years of progressive audit experience

  • Other:

    • Ability to examine performance measures and business processes used by the organization, e.g., Human Resources, Purchasing, etc.

    • Adopts new technologies, systems, and processes and IT risks, and ability to apply concepts of IT and data analytics.

    • Identify and Assess various risks related to IT, information security, and data privacy, as well as, describe risk management frameworks, including types of controls.

    • Describe key roles and activities for audit engagement planning, e.g., objectives and scope, risk assessment, work program, etc.

    • Ability to speak and write effectively; communicating clearly through work paper schedules, memoranda, audit reports, and discussions with management personnel.

    • Analytical ability is necessary to properly conduct audits and prepare necessary reports with complete analysis, results, and recommendations.

    • Innovative thinker and problem solver with excellent communication skills, ability to distill key takeaways quickly, and presentation skills that allow effective interactions with business partners.

    • Able to collaborate, negotiate, and persuade while maintaining positive relationships with employees, peers, internal partners, clients, and third-party partners.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX’s total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $72,000.00 – $96,000.00
