Position: Staff Accountant

We’ll trust you to:

• Assist in the monthly general ledger close, preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare Intercompany recharge entries and work with global counterparts to reconcile Intercompany activity and settle balances
• Contribute to the production of monthly reporting packages for use by senior management
• Participate in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Perform ad hoc analyses for internal and external reporting purposes

You’ll need to have:

• An undergraduate degree in accounting (preferred) and/or finance
• A strong accounting background with experience in Financial Services (preferred, not required)
• Strong analytical skills and a high level of proficiency using Excel
• Effective communication skills as you will need to frequently interact with various groups in and outside of finance
• Teamwork and collaboration-orientated, with the ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, operate within tight deadlines, and escalate issues as necessary
• Practical knowledge of prepaid expenses, fixed assets, operating & financing leases and expense accruals
• Knowledge of SAP is plus

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $65,000 – $85,000. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Base salary is one component of Lazard Corporate’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
