We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our Mobile Development team!

You are someone who wants to influence your own development. You're looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests and grow professionally.

Competencies you bring to Applaudo:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in developing native Android applications.
• Strong experience with Android Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Kotlin/Java, and the Android Platform.
• Knowledge of the Android landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Open to flexible scheduling, including shift rotation and on-call availability.
• Good understanding of client/server architecture and web services (SOAP/REST/GraphQL).
• Experience with Clean Architecture and MVVM.
• Good understanding of XML and JSON.
• English proficiency required, as you will work directly with US-based clients.

Responsibilities:

• Build Android apps from scratch following best practices and standards.
• Define API requirements, consume RESTful web services, and process results.
• Create prototypes demonstrating the value and functionality of emerging Android technologies.
• Participate in agile development processes to meet requirements and ensure implementation.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers, dividing responsibilities to solve problems.
• Follow Google's UI/UX best practices and guidelines from the design team.
