We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients, an innovative global company that builds impactful digital solutions. They are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Databricks and a solid background in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures.
This is a long-term remote opportunity working with an international and collaborative team on cutting-edge data projects.
What You'll Be DoingDesign and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks , Apache Spark , and modern ETL frameworks.
Work with structured and unstructured data from relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
Develop and maintain data models using tools like ER/Studio or IBM Data Architect .
Implement and optimize data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift or Snowflake .
Collaborate on real-time data integration using Apache Kafka , Apache Flink , and Azure Data Factory .
Ensure data security and access control with tools such as Apache Ranger and HashiCorp Vault .
Work closely with analytics teams to enable data visualization with tools like Tableau , Power BI , or Looker .
Use Jira , Confluence , and Git for task management and documentation.
Follow software engineering best practices using SQL , Python , and optionally R .
5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
Proven experience with Databricks (must-have).
Strong background in data modeling , ETL development , and pipeline optimization .
Experience with Apache Spark , big data technologies , and cloud platforms (preferably AWS ).
Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language ( Python or R ).
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional, and remote environments.
Advanced English communication skills.
