Role Status: Full-time term vacancy available until 12 June 2026. Remuneration: ASO5 ($85,790 - $95,413 p.a.) + 11% Superannuation
Role Details
The Licensing and Compliance Officer is responsible for promoting quality standards and best practice in the out-of-home care sector, ensuring compliance with provisions of various legalisations administered by the department.
The role is responsible for:
- Facilitating compliance reviews aligned with quality standards in out-of-home care, relevant legislation, and departmental policies.
- Evaluating and recommend improvements to Foster Care, Kinship Care Agency, and Children's Residential Facility licences, including internal DCP residential care services.
- Leading the review and development of the DCP Licensing and Compliance Framework.
- Conducting inspections and assessments for new and renewed licences across foster, kinship, and residential care providers.
- Preparing communication resources to support stakeholder consultation on licensing process improvements.
To be successful:
You will have experience in presenting complex issues and findings in writing, along with the ability to identify issues and relate or compare data from various sources. You will also possess sound interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a range of key internal and external stakeholders.
