- Coordinating and conducting field evaluations with the intent of protecting and minimizing impacts of proposed facilities, recreation, and pertinent management activities on the natural and cultural resources present across the state park system.
- Providing scientific information associated with aquatic resources to better inform internal and external constituents.
- Preparing environmental permit applications, State Environmental Policy Act documents and assisting with the recommendations for environmental and cultural resource compliance associated with request from the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund, and recreational trails programs.
- Work with partnerships, regional collaborations, and jurisdictional agency comment requests to protect park resources and minimize negative impacts to natural and cultural resources.
- Supervise periodic temporary employees and interns.
Position/Physical Requirements:
- Work schedule Monday to Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, 20 lbs of force frequently, and 10 lbs of force with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work requires a variety of physical tasks, visual acuity, and is subject to a variety of environmental conditions.
- Must be available to work after hours, weekend, and holidays when necessary.
- Must have a valid driver's license issued from within the United States or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

Bachelor's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution AND two years of experience related to the area of assignment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
