Position: HR Generalist
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our faculty and staff while ensuring compliance with Puerto Rico labor laws for an education environment.
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for handling employee relations, managing HR administrative tasks and documentation, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and promoting a positive and motivated workplace culture. This role requires strong knowledge of Puerto Rico labor laws, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to HR management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a supportive work environment.
- Manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll-related documentation, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.
- Oversee employee documentation, including contracts, benefits enrollment, performance reviews, and leave requests.
- Ensure compliance with Puerto Rico labor laws and school policies, advising leadership on any necessary updates or changes.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee motivation, engagement, and workplace culture.
- Assist in recruitment efforts, onboarding new employees, and conducting orientation sessions.
- Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Collaborate with school leadership to maintain a positive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment.
- Assist in planning and organizing staff events, appreciation activities, and team-building exercises.
- Support HR-related reporting and analytics to track employee engagement and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in an educational or academic setting.
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico labor laws and employment regulations.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
