Job Summary

This is a 2-year contract of employment from the date of hire with the possibility of extension or transition to a career position.

The EEEPMO (Enterprise Program Management Office) is an internal business advisory unit of skilled professionals providing consulting services to the UCSF campus. The EPMO collaborates with central leaders, schools, and department staff to implement operational improvements campus-wide and within units. Services include strategic planning, business process improvement, systems implementations, and organizational restructuring. As a recharge unit billing for services, it delivers 50-75 projects annually. The department requires significant financial management support and operational coordination.

The EPMO Financial Analyst & Operations Coordinator (FA&OC) plays a vital role in managing daily operations. Guided by the AVC but working independently, the FA&OC handles financial, HR, and general program operations responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial and operations support professional with a strong understanding of industry practices and organizational policies. They resolve issues judiciously, selecting appropriate methods and techniques to find solutions.

The final salary and offer components are subject to UC policy approvals. Placement within the salary range depends on experience and internal equity. For union-represented positions, salary placement follows collective bargaining rules.

The salary range for this position is $81,800 - $122,700 annually.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3+ years of relevant progressive experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Thorough knowledge of financial processes, policies, and procedures
  • Experience with financial data management and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of HR data, HR processes, and standard work
  • Leadership skills for guiding, coaching, and mentoring staff in HR and Finance
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, organizational, communication skills, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with UCSF systems such as UPlan, MyReports, BearBuy, MyExpense, Journals, SRS, Access Request System, Room Reservation, Concur, Service Now, and OLPPS
  • Understanding of internal control practices and their importance in resource protection
