The RCM Ancillary Services Team Lead will be capable of performing all activities related to the tracking and resolving of Amerita's credit balances, processing incoming/outgoing correspondence, medical records, payer/patient refunds, payer audits, appeals, and providing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) support. The RCM Ancillary Services Team Lead will be the primary resource for all employees of the RCM Ancillary Services team. The role involves working closely with RCM departments, finance, operations, and other team leads to identify and share information about trends or patterns in payment and residual balance activity. The RCM Ancillary Services Team Lead will ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable laws regarding billing, collections, credit balances, banking, and patient financial information security.
Location: MON - FRI 7:00AM - 3:30PM at Centennial, CO.

Responsibilities- Assist with daily direction of the RCM Ancillary Services Team (12-20 employees).
- Support hiring, onboarding, professional development, and performance management, including coaching and disciplinary actions; contribute to setting and evaluating yearly performance goals.
- Collaborate with the RCM Manager and Corporate Trainer to develop and implement training materials, including validation and competency assessments.
- Monitor staff workload and recommend staffing adjustments as needed.
- Help improve departmental processes and resolve issues, coordinating with other departments such as finance and operations.
- Oversee processing and accuracy of medical records requests and payer audits.
- Coordinate processing of refunds with accounts payable, including voids, reissues, and escheatments; prepare patient refund packets.
- Analyze aged credit balances to identify trends, working with analysts to generate reports.
- Review adjustment reports for correctness and compliance with policies.
- Revise and implement policies to ensure best practices; stay updated with payer website communications; recommend improvements for payment retention and claim processing.
- Review weekly performance metrics and conduct quarterly audits to meet departmental goals and address deficiencies.
- While this position does not directly supervise, the Team Lead is the initial resource for all team members.
- High School diploma/GED required; Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field a plus.
- Minimum one year of experience in revenue cycle management; supervisory and home infusion experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Managed Care, Commercial, Government programs, Medicare, Medicaid; experience with CPR+ and Waystar is a plus.
- Understanding of medical coding (ICD 9/10, CPT, HCPCS), basic accounting, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, typing 40+ WPM.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret information accurately with attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
