We're Hiring: General Manager - Grand Rapids, MI (New Warehouse Launch!) Posted in Southfield, MI but this role is ONSITE in Grand Rapids, MI ONLY Day Shift | Full-Time | Onsite Only Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 + Bonus Potential

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA is preparing to open a new warehouse facility in Grand Rapids, MI, and we're looking for a hands-on, people-centered General Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive long-term success.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a trusted industry leader and build something meaningful from the ground up — with support, autonomy, and room to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all warehouse operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Hire, lead, and develop a team with a focus on communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Maintain compliance with safety regulations (OSHA), internal policies, and quality standards.

• Monitor equipment performance, lead preventative maintenance, and recommend upgrades as needed.

• Foster cross-functional partnerships with Sales, HR, and Engineering to support customer success.

• Manage budgets, facility upkeep, inventory turnover, and employee development.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Press Brake, Laser, and Punch machines.

• 2+ years in a supervisory or warehouse team leadership role.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related fields).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree (MBA, Engineering, etc.).

• Experience with Mastercam, SolidWorks, or CAD.

• Exposure to ISO standards, labor relations, safety programs, and sales coordination.
