Production Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client in Liberty, NC is looking for a Production Engineer. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

• Supporting machine specifications, procurement, validation, installation, pre-productions trials and launch of battery production lines.
• Supporting battery manufacturing trials to confirm equipment safety, quality, operation availability, and overall efficiency.
• Directly supporting other engineers with the construction and installation of battery equipment.
• Participate in cross functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new processes as required.
• Organize and guide cross functional activities across traditional company barriers with minimal assistance from management.

Basics:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 10+ years of equivalent.
• Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and experience in execution of capital projects, preferably from initial planning to start of production.
• Experience in creating and implementing processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in detail schedule creation and utilization on capital projects for new or modified equipment.
• AutoCAD experience, including the ability to read, interpret and modify 2D drawings.
• Ability to work weekend and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed.
