Team OverviewThis position is open for the Data Engineering organization, more precisely for the Data Platform team. This team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our modern data platform built on top of DBT, Snowflake, and AWS. This team leverages not only data engineering expertise but also maintains the modern AWS stack through an infrastructure-as-code approach.

Primary ResponsibilitiesThe below represents the primary duties of the position, others may be assigned as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of theknowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Design, build, and maintain scalable data platform components 
• Manage and optimize data infrastructure in Snowflake and AWS 
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows in GitHub and TeamCity 
• Enable observability and data quality across the platform 
• Support access management and data governance efforts 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the developer experience 
• Participate in platform evolution and roadmap planning 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline. 
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or software development. 
• Proficiency in Python  
• Knowledge of SQL is nice to have 
• Knowledge of data governance, and distributed computing. 
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) is required. 
• Experience with DBT is big plus 

Physical requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
• Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
