In this role, you will support our professionals in providing top-notch patient experiences during Mohs surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking detailed medical histories and measuring vitals.
  • Assist the surgeon during procedures, ensuring the surgical area is ready with necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and ensure they understand follow-up care.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the surgical suite, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling surgeries, managing patient records, and communicating with insurance providers.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and the Mohs surgical process, addressing any questions or concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency; Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical assistant or surgical role, particularly in dermatology or Mohs surgery.
  • Familiarity with surgical instruments and aseptic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and general office software.
