- Assists with procurement of services and commodities by processing requisitions, purchase orders and purchase order change orders.
- Preparing Informal Solicitations (informal Bid Requests (IBRs), small purchase quotations, and short form agreements) and facilitates purchases when formal bids are not required
- Reviews cooperative contracts to verify contract complies substantially with Navajo County procurement regulations, policies and procedures in order to determine if in the best interests of Navajo County to utilize the contracts
- Witnesses and documents formal solicitation openings
- Assists with contract modifications and renewals by preparing amendments and related documentation
- Maintains vendor lists for solicitations based on type of commodities/services
- Prepares solicitation, contract, and evaluation documents as directed by staff.
- Writes and analyzes contracts for Small Purchases
- Manages a variety of contracts and purchase orders
- Complies data related to department activity to facilitate departmental decision making and to provide updates to end using departments and the Board of Supervisors
- Assists with the management of the County P-Card Program
- Assist with the management of the Office Supply accounts
- Assist with the management of cell phone accounts.
- Assists with front desk coverage
- Performs general clerical tasks
- Communicates and acts in a professional manner with the public, co-workers, and work contacts
- Knowledge of coordination in various concurrent projects, preparing for meetings, conferences, and negotiations
- Knowledge of laws, statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations governing the procurement of commodities and services for the County
- Skill in managing and prioritizing multiple and concurrent projects
- Skill in efficiently and effectively operating and utilizing software applications to include Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in utilization of the Internet
- Skill in communicating and maintaining professionalism with the public, co-workers, and work contacts
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with associate personnel and vendors
- Ability to gather and analyze information, and interpret and apply technical, legal and departmental information encountered in the performance of responsibilities
