The dedicated Payroll Supervisor will lead a team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 65,000 employees across multiple states. This role involves overseeing payroll team members that are resolving complex payroll issues and maintaining compliance with all government reporting requirements. The Payroll Supervisor will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to foster relationships with key business partners. Additionally, this role requires staying updated on legal requirements and driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The Payroll Supervisor will also develop, implement, update, and monitor internal controls over NOAM's payroll processes to ensure financial data accuracy, asset protection, and employee data privacy.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Supervise Payroll Team Members to ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for over 65,000 employees, while adhering to all government reporting requirements for earnings, deductions, and taxes in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.
- Assist with hands on payroll processing and provide backup support to the team and Payroll Manager.
- Review and approve the work of Payroll team members to ensure data accuracy and compliance with payroll processes and procedures, offering support and expertise.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex payroll questions, resolving issues by examining root causes and providing expert guidance.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of payroll professionals, providing training and identifying development opportunities while ensuring compliance with SOX controls and governmental regulations.
- Complete bi-weekly metrics reporting, summarizing data and payroll cases to create solutions for continuous improvement and correcting deficiencies.
- Partner with regional HR, SBS, and accounting/finance staff to harmonize and streamline pay policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with timekeeping, payroll processing, and governmental reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by driving best practices, creating, and updating standard operating procedures.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred:
- CPP Certification, Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related business administration
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
5+ years of North America payroll experience
Significant experience with knowledge of all aspects of payroll processes and related systems, including garnishments, benefits, taxes, time & attendance collection for multiple countries (regional exposure).
- Demonstrated ability to manage, provide direction, and lead a team toward goal achievement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and re-engineer processes.
- Organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to shift priorities.
- Capability to synthesize and analyze information quickly and make informed decisions.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
Preferred:
- Project management experience
- Ceridian Dayforce system experience
- Additional language skills would be an advantage
- Experience working for a global and diverse company
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
A demonstrated understanding of all aspects of payroll processes and related systems; including, but not limited to, benefits, taxes, and time and attendance collection.
The ability to review regulatory publications, understand technical terminology and easily determine the effect pending and/or newly enacted legislation will have on current Department procedures.
