Position Summary

The Electrical System CAD Designer is responsible for creating and managing electrical system and component CAD models and drawings for current and future model programs.

Position Responsibilities

You will help distinguish our company with expertise, integrity, and professionalism to create products that exceed customer expectations. Among the responsibilities of the role are:

• Working with Product Design Engineers to model systems and components in the vehicle environment.
• Working with the Electrical Engineering team ensures designs meet all system targets, including fit, form, and function.
• Creation of 3D Models and 2D prints for systems and components, including wiring harnesses, high voltage cables, support brackets, heating and cooling systems, hose routings and various control boxes.
• Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
• Actively participate and contribute in Design Reviews, Prototype Builds, and Production Builds to ensure correlation to master models

Position Qualifications

• Associates Degree
• Minimum 3 years of product design/CAD experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor Electrical Package
• Competent in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
• Problem solver - adept at troubleshooting and resolving issues
• Detail-orientated

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

• Skilled in 3D routing of cable and harness assemblies
• Experience working in Complex Product Development
• Knowledge and/or experience in the vehicle industry
