Benefits Coordinator

We are partnering with a leading organization to identify a skilled Benefits Coordinator to join their HR team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, ensuring compliance, and delivering a smooth employee benefits experience across the U.S. and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the liaison between benefit providers, HR site coordinators, and employees to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate payroll and benefits processes to ensure accurate status changes and reconcile payroll deductions tied to benefits.

  • Lead the administration of annual open enrollment and benefit plan renewals.

  • Generate and analyze reports from the Benefits Administration system.

  • Prepare and organize data for 5500 filings.

  • Process pension distribution requests and coordinate compliance matters with third-party administrators.

  • Review and analyze benefit contracts and related documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

  • Support the development, communication, and distribution of benefit plan materials.

  • Maintain confidential employee records and benefit files.

  • Reconcile monthly vendor invoices and manage payment approvals.

  • Monitor compliance with ERISA and other legal requirements.

  • Contribute to benefits-related projects, process improvements, and companywide initiatives.

  • Assist auditors to ensure regulatory compliance is consistently met.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Strong math and/or accounting skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in a related field

  • Customer service background

  • 6-12 months of benefits or HR-related experience

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems

  • Ability to work under general direction, meet deadlines, and thrive in a team environment

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
