Position: Java Backend Engineer
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 3 days a week WFO)
Type: Full-time
Experience: 10+ years
Job Details- Salary: $100,000.00–$120,000.00 per year
- Work Location: On site
- Start as soon as possible
- Java Expertise: 9+ years of hands‑on Java development, specifically J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition).
- Microservices and REST API Proficiency: Skilled in developing microservices architectures and REST APIs.
- Database and SQL Skills: Proficient in Oracle Database and complex SQL queries.
- Cloud‑Native and Platform Experience: Familiar with AWS or Azure and deploying cloud‑native applications; experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
- Modern Software Design Principles: Deep understanding of SOLID, DRY, and Single Responsibility principles.
- Broad Technology Stack Experience: Knowledge of NiFi, NATS, Kafka, Zookeeper, Splunk, Redis, Cassandra, and Oracle.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Experience driving end‑to‑end development, code reviews, test strategy, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Performance Optimization: Skilled in code reviews and implementing best practices for efficient, scalable code.
