Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Research Lab Tech (Per Diem) to join our exceptional team in Las Vegas.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and harvest plasma, serum, and all other required labatory specimens according to protocol specifications
• Monitors the collection of urine and/fecal specimens form subjects participating in studies
• Completes all required study documents and might need to be trained on special equipment per protocol
• assures that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complete assigned tasks within strictly defined timelines

Requirements:

• High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Technical positions may require a certificate Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year). In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in relevant software and laboratory equipment
• Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
• Able to work in non-traditional work environments
• Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner
