Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Certified Value Engineer to join our team in the North East, United States. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for applying value engineering methodologies to optimize project costs, improve functionality, and enhance overall value for our clients.

• Conduct value engineering studies and workshops for various projects
• Analyze project designs, specifications, and costs to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and present value engineering proposals to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement value engineering recommendations
• Utilize advanced problem-solving techniques to address complex engineering challenges
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on value engineering findings and outcomes
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in value engineering
• Mentor and train team members on value engineering principles and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Certified Value Specialist (CVS) accreditation from SAVE International (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience (USACE experience highly preferred)
• Proven experience in value engineering projects across various industries
• Strong knowledge of value engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Expertise in cost analysis, project management, and problem-solving
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for value engineering and project management
• Experience in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or related fields
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Additional Information

Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between: $95 - $101k
